The Prince William Hokies Alumni Chapter sponsors a Blood Drive and a Scholarship Golf Tournament every year to benefit the community.  Check out information elsewhere on this site for details on the Golf Tournament and check back letter for information on our blood drive which is being held in April this year.

Welcome to the PWHOKIES Website! We are the Prince William Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association, proudly serving the communities of Prince William County and the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park. The PW Hokies’ primary goals are to encourage scholarship of our community’s youth and volunteerism of the entire community. In the chapter’s first four years, fifteen scholarships have been awarded to Tech-bound graduating seniors from high schools in the chapter's coverage area. The chapter encourages community service through its support of the Virginia Tech VT-Engage program; the Prince William Habitat for Humanity; the American Red Cross through an annual blood drive; the Virginia Department of Transportation's Adopt-A-Highway program; and through its annual scholarship contest which emphasizes both accademics and community service. To ensure a balanced program, we also sponsor intellectual, social, and sports activities of broad interest to the community. Support for the scholarship program comes primarily from the PW Hokies' Annual Golf Classic which is held in the spring of each year. This year's tournament will be held on June 14, 2011 at Bull Run Golf Club in Virginia. The winning foursome will receive four invites to compete in the 3nd Annual Acura College Alumni Team Championship at Pinehurst this coming October. The chapter has raised over $40,000 in its five tournaments so far through the generous support of the  players, the corporate sponsors, and local businesses who have donated goods and services. A special thanks goes out to Land Design Consultants, LLC, Bad To The Bone Smokhouse, Bone Fish, Miller Toyota, Capital Pension Services, Inc., Invite, and Acura for their continued annual sponsorships of our tournament.  Also, special thanks go to our more than 80 local businesses that contributed goods and services for our silent auction. The Prince William Hokies have adopted a two mile stretch of Route 234 South between the intersections of the Prince Willaim Parkway and Purcell Road. We had nearly 20 die-hard Hokies and family members join us on November 3 to collect trash and help keep Virginia beautiful.
